The Department of Pharmacology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has received a major facelift following the refurbishment of its office space into an ultra-modern working environment to support the Department’s day-to-day administrative and academic operations.

The refurbishment project was made possible through the generous sponsorship of DANNIPHARMA Limited and Tabea Company Limited, highlighting the importance of strong partnerships between industry and academia in advancing pharmacy education, research and professional training.

The upgraded office space is expected to provide a more conducive and efficient working environment for staff while enhancing the Department’s capacity to support its teaching, research and administrative activities effectively.

Expressing her profound appreciation, the Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Professor Cynthia Amaning-Danquah, commended the Department’s staff for their collective efforts towards the successful completion of the project. She also expressed sincere gratitude to DANNIPHARMA Limited and Tabea Company Limited for their invaluable support and commitment to the development of the Department.

Professor Amaning-Danquah noted that such collaborations demonstrate the significant role industry can play in strengthening academic institutions and creating an enabling environment for quality training and impactful research. She therefore called on other industry partners and stakeholders to support the Department of Pharmacology and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as they continue to advance research, innovation and the training of the next generation of pharmacy professionals.
