James Oppong Kyekyeku graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with B.Pharm(Pharmacy) and M.Phil. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry degrees. He had his secondary education at Opoku Ware School in Kumasi. He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana.

His research interests include development of HPLC methods and identification of biomarkers for the quality control and standardization of herbal medicines
